CSV17 Prototype

The goal of this development project was to make a smaller launcher that can fit into a tool case. This CSV17 was the result, and this rare photo of the CSV17 Prototype was recently found in the Archives. To make the overall kit size requirement a new Reel was developed, the Mini Coaxial Reel. This Reel is 15 inches in circumference. It is a friction fit on the barrel and thus removable for rewinding and storage. This 17" long launcher (not including reel) will reach vertical heights of about 160 feet when launching a tennis ball towing 50 pound test line.
