Balanced Tuners are probably more suitable for most of our antennas than the unbalanced tuners we usually use. The difference is in better balance, and this is often subtle. It can lead to noise pickup (computer, etc in the house). Balanced tuners require more components to get the job done and so are not generally manufactured due to cost. The few that are on the market are quite expensive. One of these days I plan to build a good Balanced tuner...
