Lithium Ion Recharging
Info from Candlepower Forums on recharging Lithium Ion
The effect of over-charging on the cycle life of Li-Ion cells is indicative.
SilverFox is the CPF authority on all matters to do with batteries, and he posted a table some time ago in another thread, showing the number of cycles you get if you charge a Li-Ion cell to a given voltage:
Charging to 4.1 volts gives you >2000 cycles.
Charging to 4.2 volts gives you 500 cycles.
Charging to 4.3 volts gives you <100 cycles.
Charging to 4.4 volts gives you <5 cycles.
